Furlough Payments2/4/2021 HMRC are now publishing which companies claimed Furlough payments from the UK government. The initial release shows companies across the UK who claimed in December 2020.
Open & Candid have investigated and found 13 Plymouth Brethren member companies that won PPE contracts in 2020, have also claimed Furlough payments. CMT Equipment the Anthony Hazell owned business claimed, despite the clear link to £680 million contract winning Unispace. Techniclean Supply who won a £20 million contract lead the way, followed by Blueleaf & Bryson Products. Oakdene Services (1925) also claimed. These four companies won over £30 million worth of contract in total. The full list includes Acopia Group Arrow County Supplies Blueleaf Bryson Products CMT Equipment Denka UK Fairfield Care Products Oakdene Services (1925) Orcagel Selkent Fastenings Streamline Corporate Techniclean Supply Ureka Global Business is Business as they say but you would have to question, that in the same year as winning big contracts, often more than the previous annual turnover, whether this is an ethical way of running a company.
