Brethren linked Business Repays Millions to ATOUBT in Voluntary Disclosure
In March 2024 the UBT office at the Sydney Olympic park was raided by the ATO under exceptional circumstances. The Daily Telegraph in Australia is reporting that UBT have made a voluntary disclosure, and have paid several million dollars to the ATO in relation to the FBT & salary splitting matter. In general a Voluntary Disclosure would lead to a reduction in interest charges and penalties from the ATO. It is understood there are still a further two other matters ongoing following the ATO raid, according to a comment from a UBT spokeswoman. Watch this space! £47million dividends paid by 2San
Carnforth based 2San Global are a company I have covered previously, recently it came to my attention that in 2022 they paid out dividends of over £47 million to the directors, including Dean Hales, son of brethren leader Bruce Hales. This dividend is unusual as the business showed less than £1 million in shareholder funds at the end of 2021 and at the end of 2022. We dug a little deeper!
