Not £100, £200, £300, £400 or even £500 million! Two (or should we say three!) companies ran by Plymouth Brethren members are reaping the award of substantial DHSC & DHSC T&T contracts with combined contracts worth an eyewatering £668 million.
Medco Solutions the company incorporated with £2 shareholding at the start of pandemic in March last year and still less than 20 months old, has been awarded contracts with a value of circa £690 million to provide lateral flow tests (LFT) to the DHSC, following obtaining the distribution for the ACON Flowflex test. This is on the back of PPE contracts in 2020 worth circa £83 million. What a start up! Winning £470 million of contracts with DHSC in the first 18 months of trading. The business owned by the Robertson brothers Ross & Luke, reported £9.3 million worth of gross profit on the profit/loss account in the first 9 months of trading. Prior to starting Medco Solutions, Ross Robertson worked for Unispace who also won around £670 million in PPE contracts with DHSC. Luke was a director of Snaffle Solutions Ltd with Daniel Reiner, Reiner is also a director of Bryson Products another PPE contract winning company. Sterilabs is a Harrogate based business owned by the Frizelle family, they have won various DHSC & DHSC T&T contracts since the start of the pandemic worth over £280 million. There main contract worth over £271 million is a contract for Lateral Flow Tests, it is odd that when the contract is opened that we see another company as part of the same supply contract. That company is Sante Global LLP, better known last year under there previous name Unispace. Sante Global LLP is owned by two of the sons (Charles & Gareth) of the Plymouth Brethren Church leader Bruce Hales. Sante Trading company has the same directors and lists a Ross Robertson as a shareholder. It is a small world.
